It's another strong but serious episode as Liv and friends count down towards their first season finale and we are treated to a Sixth Sense ending that I for one did not see coming.

Blargh
This was a somewhat unexpectedly heavy episode of our favorite chronicle of the undead. We've come a long way from Liv being a harmless kleptomaniac or waking up with mad kung fu skills.
Despite our (okay, my) best retcon efforts, it appears Lowell is really most sincerely dead. Sniff. We open with Liv, very upset and somewhat blood-spattered, explaining to a detective (not Clive or Captain Secret Zombie) that Lowell was dead when she got there. He's quite skeptical, but Captain Secret Zombie interrupts to say the case appears to be a suicide, so Liv is free to go.

On the Fall Schedule!
The CW has announced their Fall schedule, and iZombie is on it. So we won't have to wait until next spring for new adventures from Liv and friends.

It's a Zombie Thing - You Wouldn't Understand
You know how promos for tv shows frequently hype, "DON'T MISS
THE LAST FIVE MINUTES"? I didn't see any iZombie promos for this
week, so I don't know if they did that, but they definitely wouldn't have been
lying. But let's start at the beginning.

You're Stuck With Me
Not really, because I know my three or so readers can give up on me any time, but good news!

I've Seen Florists With Better Security
In episode seven of iZombie, Liv gets overly maternal due to the brain of the week, Major gets overly stupid due to the missing kids, and your lovely recapper gets overly excited due to a perceived shoutout.

Great, I Ate Home Simpson's Brain
We open to Major on the autopsy table at the morgue. So obviously he succumbed to last week's attack and his former roommate is looking for clues. Just kidding! Ravi is stitching up the wounds from Major's major beat down last week because, as a social worker, Major's health insurance covers "like one band-aid a year." Remember how we were going to integrate Major into the plot more organically now that he and Ravi live together? Because the writers don't.

Shut Up or I'll Eat You
This week on iZombie, Liv learns to fully embrace life (again). And Major gets a rival for Liv's affection, which he may never know about because we leave him looking pretty much beat to a pulp.

You Got Your Ass Kicked by a Girl
This week on iZombie, Liv snacks on a paranoid gangbanger, causing her to suspect all sort of wrongdoing by Detective Clive. On the upside, she gets some mad kung fu skills.

Why Don't You Ever Suggest Anything Whimsical?
This week, Liv snacks on the brain of a sociopath and gets to experience the pros and cons of having absolutely no social conscience.

Psychic Zombie Trying to Do Her Part
Welcome back! Let's jump right in to the recap for episode 2, Brother Can You Spare a Brain. This week, Liv fully embraces her new role as a crime-fighting zombie, gets in touch with her artistic side, and opens up to her new buddy Uncle Snark Daddy. Two of these three are not terrible ideas.
Aside - just heard Rose McIver's "stay tuned for my show" tag at the end of Flash. No idea she was from New Zealand and has an accent!

Dead Alabaster Badass
Welcome (finally!) to the recap for the premiere of iZombie. Hold onto your brains.
We open with our (living) heroineJoanna Garcia Olivia "Liv" Moore, an overachieving neuro intern at a Seattle hospital that is not Seattle Mercy Grey Sloane Memorial because this show is on the CW, overachievingly saving some poor patient's life while the other interns stand around waiting for their chief resident.
She is rewarded for her heroics with an invitation to a boat party from her fellow intern, which she turns down to spend the evening with her fianceScott Speedman "Major," portrayed not by Ben from Felicity but by Clay from One Tree Hill. I am now 0 for 2 on actor identification. Anyway, Major proves that he is not aware that he is on a television show by encouraging Liv to go to the party, asking, "What's the worst that could happen?"
Cue zombie outbreak.

Episode 1 is Coming!
Busy week, and I'm still trying to figure out the recapping process, but watched the first ep, and looking forward to recounting (and maybe discussing) the first ep!

Welcome to tvzombie
Initial post! Here's the deal - I love tv. Veronica Mars was awesome. Other than that, I do trend towards sci-fi/supernatural type shows. And I've been feeling a lack of creative channels lately. All of this (and my general love of reading recaps of shows even if I just watched them) has combined into me starting an iZombie recap (for now) blog.
The immediate problem being that I have no idea how to format or organize this, which is killing my OCD brain. But I am soldiering forward by posting this initial post. Depending on what I see (and how my blog skills develop), I may post again before the premiere, but the plan is to recap that within a few days. So hold me to it! Let's do this thing!
